LDAP client and server on the same machine

Hi,

Can I set up a Solaris 9 machine to be both a LDAP server and a LDAP client of the server itself?

I installed a openLDAP server on a Solaris 9 box. I can authenticate other Solaris LDAP clients with the server, however, I have some trouble to make the server to authenticate itself. It always complains that It "unable to load configuration '/var/ldap/ldap_client_file' ('') ". Does Sun LDAP server has the similar issue? Or, am I not supposed to do like this?

I used ldapclient to initialize the LDAP clients.
