LBX (Low Bandwidth X) problems

807559Oct 15 2001 — edited Oct 16 2001
Trying to use lbxproxy, proxymngr, and xfindproxy from a server, but
keep running into problems. The program either hangs or I get the
following error message:

Xlib: client uses different protocol version (11) than server (5)!
Error: Can't open display: foo:63

where foo:63 is the server that xfindproxy is returning for my machine's display. I have tried to eliminate authority errors by typing 'xhost +' on my machine, and even extracted and merged my display's entry from the .Xauthority file into my .Xauthority file on the proxy server.

Any ideas would be appreciated?
