Launch an interview with a dropdown item already selected

I have a simple data-collection interview which creates an incident in B2C. The interview has been working fine, for some time, launched via a URL in the normal way. This process needs to remain.

I wish to add another option to the dropdown shown. This new option will be required in specific situations. Is it possible to add some HTML…or whatever…to a new URL such that the new option is preselected in the dropdown? This will save the interview user from needing to navige / understand the options presented.
