Hi Everyone,

We manually managed the Oracle database memory structures (not using AMM and ASMM). Today i increased the db_cache_size but Oracle automatically increased large_pool_size and java_pool_size to twice of the original size. Why is this practice in place? i cant seem to find any reference to this.

Database version: 11.2.0.3

OS version: Solaris 10
