Large APEX Application Import (200MB) Failing - 500 Internal Server Error

Environment:

  • Oracle APEX: 21.2

  • Database: Oracle 19c (On-Premises)

  • Application Export File Size: 200 MB

    Issue

  • Importing a large APEX application (App ID: 101, Version: 2021.10.15, Size: 200MB) from another workspace same configuration.

  • Import wizard completes all 4 steps, but clicking "Install" at the final step gives: 500 Internal Server Error

  • Import settings:

  • Parsing Schema: GTPL1IVE572

  • Build Status: Run and Build Application

  • Reusing Application ID 101

  • Questions

  • How to resolve this 500 error for 200MB application import?

  • What are the best practices for importing/exporting large APEX applications (200MB+)?
