LACP from S11.1/Dell PE610 to Cisco 2960

budachstJul 16 2013

Hi,

I am running S11.1 on a Dell PE610. I can't seem to get LACP link aggregation to work between these two. I have configured a port-channel in trunk mode along with 4 member links and I configured the aggregate in S11.1 like this:

dladm create-aggr -L passive -l bnx0 -l bnx1 -l bnx2 -l bnx3 such as that dladm show-aggr results in the following:

LINK              MODE  POLICY   ADDRPOLICY           LACPACTIVITY LACPTIMER

aggr0             trunk L4       auto                 passive      short

That seems pretty good to me, but the LACP actually doesen't seem to sync up with the switch, as the port-channel doesn't come up, although the links themselves do come up fine.

I was wondering, if this is maybe some driver or firmware issue with the Broadcom chipset, as I did not had any issue configuring a LACP aggr using a DP Intel adapter. When I configure the debug for lacp on the cisco no lacp packets seem to be received from the S11.1 box.

Anybody having any experience with this?

Thanks,

budy
