KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

843802Jan 17 2003 — edited Jun 2 2003
Hi Folks,

I bought a new server (Dell PowerEdge 600SC) and started to install some software on Win 2000 Server system. I have noticed that whenewer I am trying to start Java Web Start, I am getting a "beautiful" blue screen and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED in ntoskrnl.exe and my server dump memory. As it is the first week since I am playing with my server, there was no big issue to reinstall the whole system. Having fresh copy of system + service pack 3 + all the paches and j2sdk 1.3.1, the Java Web Start (1.0.1) worked ok. But when I changed to j2sdk 1.4.1 the system is crashing every time I am starting Java Web Start (1.2).

Does anybody ever had the same problem? Maybe I have problem only with my hardware, not the software itself and there is no bug in Java Web Start?

I will appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
Michal
