Keyboard Problems in Java Apps When Number Lock is On

807559Jun 8 2005 — edited May 18 2006
I am running Solaris 10 x86 on a Sun Java Workstation (AMD64).

In all Java applications I have tried the cursor keys, tab key and enter key do not work if numberlock is switched on. Applications I have tried include JEdit, smc and Netbeans. The same problem also occurs when I attempt to run GUI java apps on a headless Solaris 10 SPARC server with the apps using my local X server. The problem does NOT occur however when running the same applications from a headless Fedora Core 3 (linux) server.

Is there a solution to this problem? Has anyone else experienced it?
