Keyboard problems during installation

807559Oct 10 2005 — edited Mar 18 2006
Hi all,

I'm having some trouble with my keyboard when I try to install Solaris 10. Basically if I use a PS/2 keyboard with a USB mouse I can get the mouse to work but not the keyboard. When I tryed to use a USB (via adaptor) keyboard and USB mouse - the keyboard will only work up to the start up of X (where it asks you to select a locale) and then freeze.
I've tried different USB ports, I've tried evey combo that I can think of e.g USB keyboard and PS/2 mouse but to no avail. I've now tried two different keyboards and teo different mice with no luck.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted. I'm reasonably Windows and *unix literate but this one has me stumped.

Cheers

Steve
