Key preserved table

Hi,

Could any body of u explain the concept of Key preserved table, i have read the oracle documentation but i am not so clear about how it actually applies to the complex View.
Also can i point out the non key preserved column in a complex view without using "User_updatable_column"dictionary.
Explanation with an example will help me a lot.
