Kerberos v. PKI

Interested in knowing if I can use PKI instead of Kerberos for authentication to an Active Directory. I understand that certain VDI3 features, like removing machines from the AD, are dependent on Kerberos. I'm anticipating that some Customers may want PKI instead.
