Keeping up to date with latest JRE and latest build

Does anyone know if there is a way to get notified when there is a new release of a JRE, even if it is just a new build of a released JRE (i.e. 1.4.2_04-b05)?

Also, is there anywhere on the Sun website where you can get information on all of the releases of the different JREs and the dates that they were released.

I'm am trying to manage the process of making sure our Java Web Start application is compatible with the latest versions of the JRE but I can't seem to find the detailed information I'm looking for or a quick way of being notified of an update.
