JWSDP installation problem

Looked in FAQs, google, etc., but couldn't find anyone with similar problem:
When attempting to install the JWSDP, I get a NoClassDefFoundError: JWSDP.
Console says:
Searching for Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition. . .
Initializing InstallShield Wizard. . .
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: JWSDP

I think I have PATH and CLASSPATH ok because I can compile and run a simple HelloWorld program.

Could someone offer advice relevant to this problem?
