JVM for AMD 64-bit

Hi,
My customer has an AMD 64-bit processor with a 64-bit Windows 2003 installation. To my surprise, the JDK that Sun has released for Windows 64 bit(jdk-1_5_0_16-windows-amd64), doesn't install. It says that the JDK is not meant for this processor. The processor under consideration is AMD Opteron 880. Is there something that I'm missing over here, or does this JDK not work on the specified processor?
