Just changing Wallet file when editing connection is not enough to be able to save the edit

Kim Berg HansenMar 16 2026

In the VS Code extension version 25.4.1, I edit a connection to my Cloud database to swap in a newly downloaded wallet zip file (in this case for using new G2 root certificates, but could also happen regularly if wallets are rotated on a scheduled basis.)

But changing the wallet does not trigger that the UI considers the connection to be altered, so the SAVE button is not activated.

I have to make another small edit (like adding a letter to the connection name) to be able to save the edited connection with the new wallet. Then edit it again to remove the superfluous letter.

It's a nitpick and it's an easy workaround, but it would be nice if a change of wallet would trigger that the connection is marked as “edited” and therefore the SAVE button becomes active.

Thanks :-)
