jusched.exe keeps coming back
I have Java JRE 6 update 24 on Windows XP (and also jdk1.6.0_24).
In the control panel / Java I disabled the Check for updates and when I did that the jusched.exe process was stopped.
But on next boot it is back again running.
In Control Panel the java update is still turned off.
If I enable it, apply and the disable it again, the jusched.exe process is stopped again.
But the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run entry SunJavaUpdateSched is still there, so it will run on next boot.
Why is the registry key not removed if the user chooses to disable Update checks?

David
