JSR 227. What does it mean?

Hello.
I'm kinda new to the jdev world, but I got assigned with a project much similar to the ADF tutorial so I thought i'd give it a try.
It's all going good but I'm facing a problem right now. The requirements of the project include that the model layer of my application is developed according to JSR 227.
I searched around the forums but I can't really find something I can really use with my current knowledge.

So I intend to build my app based on that default ADF tutorial. Is that JSR 227 compliant or are there any changes that I will have to make?
