JSR 168 packaging and deployment options

Hi

I have exported a JSR 168 portlet war file using weblogic workshop10.2 for the use of another team to integrate in their portal (again building portlet using weblogic workshop10.2)

I think the following two options are available to do this task

1) use jsr168 import tool (/jsr168/jsr168import.jsp). I know that there is problem with this tool and needs patch. Do I need to have metalink to get the patch? Any documentation describing contacting options for the oracle UK support centre would be useful

2) Import the java jsr168 portlet using workshop into the Dashboard/Desktop portal and create a new EAR out of it. Problem is that it is bit difficult to map resources files like images, css, js again.

Please correct me If I am in the right path or not and let me know If there are any other easier and better options to perform the task
