JSP Vs. C# & .NET
843835Jun 5 2002 — edited Jun 10 2002Last summer I did an ECommerce site for a client who wanted to use the .NET technology. I quickly learned C# and picked up on .NET and creating .ASPX pages before .NET framework was even in Bata. My dilemma is I have been desperately trying to get back to writing Java, specifically JSP, but I keep getting calls to program .NET.
I took some time off to create my own web site (I had to do it in Perl because my current provider is not set up for much more) and now that it is completed I need to get back on the street and make some money. I am torn between developing a JSP site for show (I finally found a JSP host provider) to try and draw in some JSP work or brushing up on my .NET Framework since I have some interviews coming up that require .NET. I have not received any request for JSP work in Central Florida. Being a single parent with a 5 year old daughter I can't relocate away from my family.
Any suggestions or advise????
Thanks in advance,
