JSF Layout Design Questions

659218Sep 10 2008 — edited Sep 10 2008
Hi All,

I am new to Oracle, Java, JSF... My company has purchased Oracle and has decided that everything we do needs to be converted from .NET to Java, (Webcenter) and I am at a bit of loss as to where to start when it comes to the desing of the pages.

I have attended the Java Class, J2EE 1 & 2 Classes but none of the classes really cover the design of the page, only specific frameworks to make the page function.

I am used to creating layouts using CSS and Divs or Tables and from what I can see in the tutorials although Divs and Tables are perfectly valid, they are rarely used?

I have been given the task of redesigning our company Intranet and implementing it as a Webcenter application but want to get it as right as possible the first time around.

Can anyone recommend a good book(s) or tutorial that covers best practices for the design\layout\flow of JSF webcenter apps?

Thanks in advance.
