JSF 1.2 + JSTL + Facelets .. c:if is not working

Hi everyone

I browsed the forums and googled a bit but I was not able to find anything that helped me on this topic.
Recently I updated to JSF 1.2 and I also updated Facelets to the newest version (1.1.12) I also downloaded the newest version of JSTL. Despite all this I am still not able to get my c:if tags to work. Seems like in the days I started with JSF where I have been using JSP. Here is my page:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets"
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
xmlns:t="http://myfaces.apache.org/tomahawk"
xmlns:c="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core"
>
<head profile="http://www.w3.org/2000/08/w3c-synd/#">
</head>
<body style="padding:15px;" >
<f:view id="page">

loggedIn:#{sessionBean.loggedIn}

<c:if test="${sessionBean.loggedIn}">
You are logged in!
</c:if>

</f:view>
</body>
</html>

I can login on another page.

Any ideas or hits to pages that might help? I would like to keep my c:if tags and not be forced to switch to f:verbatim or t:div with a rendered tag.

Cheers

Bert
