JScrollPane - need the scrollbar to automatically position at the bottom

I have a JScrollPane which holds text received from a socket.

When so much data is recevied its obviously I want the text area to scroll down automatically so the new text is constantly in view.

Currently, the scrollbar stays at the top so you cant see what is coming through the socket until you manually move the scrollbar down.

Cna anyone help - Im new to java.
