jrockit.dump and .mdmp files (safe to to delete)?

ArborifficFeb 13 2014 — edited Feb 13 2014

We were trying to free up disk space on our Foundation Server, and came across some rather large (1+GB) jrockit.mdmp and .dump files in the following path:

MIDDLEWAREHOME\domains\epmsystem\

I did some further searching, and it looks like these maybe be exception files that are generated during weblogic crashes (based on Oracle documentation for non-EPM products)

Has anyone noticed these files before? Are they safe to delete (assuming we do not want to go back and analyze them later)? They are taking up a significant footprint of diskspace and we would like to remove them if unneeded.

Insight, as always, is appreciated.
