jprofiler setup

807591Apr 16 2008
All,

I am trying to use jprofiler on one of our BEA weblogic servers and is having trouble starting weblogic service after installing jprofiler, if anyone can help that would be appreicated.

I went through the jprofiler integration wizard to choose local or remote, start script, jvm, profiling port, startup mode etc, and the jprofiler generated a new start up script for me, I extracted the jprofiler specific parameters from the newly generated startup script and incoorporated them into our original weblogic service installation script and reinstalled the weblogic service. Then I tried to start the weblogic service in debug mode and got the following output:

JProfiler> Protocol version 25
JProfiler> Using JVMPI
JProfiler> 32-bit library
JProfiler> Don't wait for frontend to connect.
JProfiler> Using config file C:\jprofiler\.jprofiler5\config.xml (id: 105)
JProfiler> Listening on port: 8849.
#

I believe the next step should be "native library initialized" but the message never showed up. I've checked %PATH% and "JPROFILER_OPTIONS" and they seemed to be setup correctly. Does anyone know JProfiler would stop at the "Listening on port"?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jenny
