JPEG Structure

843810Jul 6 2004 — edited Jul 7 2004
Hi everybody!

As I am working on a small project dealing with steganography, I would need some explanation on how jpeg or gif pictures are built up.

I mean, in the binary view they have a header and things like this, and I think, that JPEG also has some kind of controll bits/bytes throughout the whole binary representation....

So, does anyone know a site/book/references where the internal representation (binary reprsentation) of JPEGs and GIfs is explained?

Thx in Advance!
Stef
