jdk installation stuck

Hello,

this the first time that I am installing (well, trying to) jdk, downloaded from Java SE Development Kit 8 - Downloads I launched jdk-8u92-windows-x64.exe and the progress status stays empty for ~ one hour. I have a windows 8.1 machine

Can someone please help?
