JDialog that does not have focus when it is shown, how?

Could someone give me an example of how I can make a JDialog popup without grabbing the focus from the parent JFrame? A great example of what I am trying to accomplish is in open office calc, if you press the font color dropdown button on the tool bar a little color chooser dialog pops up but is not in focus.
