JDeveloper Version Check

714852Sep 22 2010 — edited Sep 22 2010
We have developers here opening a project which uses features from 11.1.1.3 with older JDev versions (11.1.1.2 for example). The project builds/runs for them, but then certain pages fail, or strange runtime errors occur, and it costs time before they realise what's wrong.

Is there any way to specify in a project 'This is a JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 or newer project only'? Sounds to me like a feature request (if something doesn't already exist). Or, is there anyway we can do a version check on application start, and throw a meaningful exception/error-level log message? I have a large notice at the top of our wiki page describing the project setup, but some people don't read our wiki. :)

Thanks,
Barry
