Jdeveloper Closed Connection issue with BC editor

Don KleppingerMar 29 2016 — edited Apr 21 2016

Using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7.  After I switch my laptop between wired and wireless connection (Which I do all the time)   the BC editor for view object will get an error when I try to edit the view.   "Cannot complete query to determine view attributes.  Either the query is invalid or timeout occurs.  Please revise the query or create the view attriibute manually"  At he bottom of the dialog it shows "SQL Query Error Message: Connection Closed".

I don't know how to tell it to reconnect.   I can go to the Database Navigator or Application Resources and can connect from those panels but when I go back and edit the view I get the same error.  The only way I found to resolve is to restart jdeveloper.  This didn't used to happen when I was on 11.1.1.4 version jdeveloper.

SQL developer has a similar problem but even though it's not smart enough to reconnect by itself at least I can reconnect manually.  I can't do that with jdeveloper.   Any ideas on how to make it re-connect without restarting?
