JDBC setup and Firebird driver

Hi guys,

using Sql Developer 3.1.05

attempting to setup the firebird jdbc driver under the tools -> preferences -> Database -> third party JDBC drivers section

I add the firebird jdbc driver jaybird-2.1.6.jar without trouble, however when I then head to the connections tab to add a firebird connection I get no Firebird connection type.

Is there a log to see what is going wrong there? Anyway to tell why SQL developer isn't finding the jdbc driver?

I have both the mysql and sql/server jdbc drivers installed and working successfully already.
