JCE 1.2.2 Expiration? Signing certificate?

We have a piece of software that requires the Sun JCE. We upgraded in 2005 from 1.2.1 because the signing certificate expired. Does anyone know if the certificate for 1.2.2 has an expiration date? Does anyone know when 1.2.2 will no longer function?
