JAWS 1.2 FCS - XP - install problem

Has anyone had problems with the new 1.4 FCS installation
after installing on XP with service pack 2, My system crahses with the blue screen of death when trying to start JAWS application manager, spash screen appears, then the application manager dialog appears for a second and then the whole machine goes down.

I have had the beta RC version installed previously but that was removed by the installer.
