Java WebStart error logs?

Does an JWS Application write any error logs or is it anyhow else possible to inspect the starting of the application??

My problem is that NOTHING happens when I try to start my application through JWS. Everything is downloaded correctly but after the download screen disappears nothing else happens... :(

please help! any suggestion is appreciated!
