Java Updates on Oracle Hyperion EPM 11.1.2.4

Hi All,

We are using Oracle Hyperion EPM Version 11.1.2.4 which has the default JDK 1.6 build 35 that came through the installation.

Our Windows Administrators found that this Version of JDK has Vulnerabilities which then can be fixed by apply the JDK 1.6 Update 121.

Have got few questions around this:

1) Is it recommended to UNInstall the default version of Java and apply the updated version?

2) If it is YES, could you help please with the process of Uninstalling JDK and installing JDK 1.6 Update 121?

is it Just Uninstalling the default version Manually and then install the latest version? Do you think we should update the JDK path in any of the EPM System CMD or BAT files Please?

Kindly help with this please.
