Java Runtime Environment 1.3.1_01

Can someone please help me. I accidently deleted Java Runtime Environment1.3.1_01 from my computer. Since then some of my websites are no longer downloading right. I know nothing about Java or what it even does but I still have Java Runtime Environment 1.3.1_02 on my computer, but when I pull up properties it says the status is damaged. Is it because I deleted the program that my internet is not running properly, if it is how do I fix it, and is that why 02 is damaged. Thank you for yor help.
