Java Project Ideas

Hello

i m a student in Information Technology.
I m looking for some ideas of java project.
Something big that can be done in a period of 1 year for example.
I m interested in graphic user interface;java for network,mathematics and algorithm,JDBC....

Any nice and challenging ideas?
