java plugin for firefox on OPENSUSE 10.1

I am having trouble registering the java jre1.5.0_08 with the ns7-gcc29 plugin for firefox on OPENSUSE 10.1 this is the first time I have ever had a problem it work fine with jre1.5.0_06 but now when I go to open the browser to test the installation the browser disapears. I can setup the symbolic link with the plain ns7 and I can see the information on the version update but no Duke can someone please give me a hand I need this for my Programming class. Thank You
