Java SE (Java Platform, Standard Edition)

Hi!
I'm writing an application that will be used on Windows computers and executed in Internet Explorer as HTML pages with embedded components. In order to find out whether I should use Java or ActiveX for the embedded components I need to know how many users have Java installed on their desktop computers. Both home users and corporate users are interesting, but statistics for either would be very helpful. Basically, what I need is metrics for how many percent of Windows desktop computers have Java installed.

Does any one have any numbers for this? I haven't been able to find anything on the web.
