Just in time could have been in mission critical systems, maybe I would choose embedded java JVMs in a hypothetical coffee maker like cold fusion machine, like in back to the future, then we need the decades old JVM chip, byte code in hardware and the depreciated VHDL for the JVM chip.
Why was it depreciated with the Java Operating System or JOS, where is JOS or the JVM chip and what replaced it?
