java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file

Hello,

i'm writing my java code in eclipse... and i have a problem starting my web application on tomcat 5.5, i get this error:

java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file

i'm using java compiler 1.5.0_03
and jre 1.5.0_11

please can anyone help me, do you know what could be the problem, 'cause i tried everything.
