java.lang.Exception: IOException in sending Request :: Connection refused

Hi All,

I have installed Oracle 10g database on a Linux server. I installed my database and then setup the Enterprise Manager and when i login into Enterprise Manager I get the java error: "java.lang.Exception: IOException in sending Request :: Connection refused in the header of the homepage".

I have installed Oracle 10g on other machines with the exact same configuration without this issue. It appears the database itself is working fine just the Enterprise Manager portion gives me an error. I haven't found much to troubleshoot as OEM is a bit of a black box to me.

I can navigate around OEM but there is that java error in the header and I can't connect to the db when setting my backup settings. I am getting "Connection to host as user oracle failed: IOException in sending Request :: Connection refused". I have verified the user i am tring to connect is the oracle owner and can login to the machine. Outside of OEM i can connect to RMAN and Sqlplus with no problems.

Can anyone suggest where to look to troubleshoot my Enterprise Manager issues? I can't find a specific ora error or Linux error so i'm stuck for now.

Thanks
