New to Java

Hello, I've just taken an intro to java class in school. We are about 3 chapter into the book and I'm not sure were/what I should be doing, it seems most of the people in the class have either previous java experience or c and/or c++ experience and have picked up on things pretty easily but i'm totally lost. Can someone recommend some tutorials for a true beginner w/no programming experience? We have basically started w/some very basic stuff from what it looks like, but I'm having a hard time understanding what the code means/does. Any help is greatly appreciated.
