Java Future
807589Jul 28 2008 — edited Jul 29 2008I've been away from Java Development for a while. I joined a Microsoft centric software house last November, to work with C#. In the beginning I was a bit keen about it, because I really like to work with Java, but since the CTO was a friend of mine, and because I already had a bit of experience with C# I gave it a try. Eight months later, I can said that it is not so bad after all. It does have some stuff I don't like, but it is so easy to do everything with it. I can create a web service in 5 seconds, and the same goes to a .net Remoting communication, and it looks good to see every configuration file using XML.
The other day I came across this page:

And this guy says it all.
But what makes me think that Java is not going to be the future is when I see Sun, participating in the C# language Specification, what the Hell is Sun doing?? They let Microsoft copy Java, and then they help them?? I can really understand this.

I really like Java and would like to see it moving faster, but maybe Sun is getting good money from Microsoft...
