Java Docking Frameworks - Evaluation

843804Apr 14 2005 — edited Apr 29 2005
I am in the process of evaluating some Docking Frameworks. Using google, of course. But I was wondering if anyone has had experience with these APIs and can relate some pros & cons. It is hard to decide. I need one with a licence that allows us to sell the finished product.

These I are ones I have found so far:

1) http://www.jidesoft.com/products/download.htm
JIDE seems quite good. $400 USD for one developer

2) http://www.ultraswing.com/ultraswing/index.shtml
UltraSwing is ok - a bit basic

3) http://jgui.imagero.com/
JGui - seems a bit choppy, and has weird externally pinned windows.

4) http://www.swingall.com/jdock.html
JDock is a lot more basic.

5) http://www.vlsolutions.com/en/products/docking/index.php
VLSolutions looks pretty cool. 400 for three developers

6) https://flexdock.dev.java.net/
Flexdock - the look is good, but the functionality is limited.

7) http://www.infonode.net/index.html?idw
Infonode looks cool. $300 USD for one developer
