Help!
I have mistakenly deployed the JRE without providing <APPLET> tag support for IE. I need to correct this on ~100 machines and the resources I have found are not working. NOTE: Going to Control Panel --> Java Control Panel --> Advanced --> <APPLET> tag support does fix the problem but is impractical with this many machines. Also, the applets are working for Firefox (also installed).
I can not identify the registry signature that corresponds to the change in settings that allows applets in IE. JavaSoft\Java Plug-in\1.5.0_11\UseJava2IExplorer = 1 does not fix the problem and all other keys appear to be in order . The existance of Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions\JAVA_SUN\SELECT also does not seem to affect the applet behaviour.
I need to mimic/capture the behavior of the Java Control Panel and update the changes on the remote machines.
