Java Apps Crashing

I'm having problems with Java apps crashing as soon as they load. I'm on Windows XP, and whenever I load any program other than Azereus (which i use for legal downloads) it'll crash. I have to use ctrl alt del, and the screen refreshes only about every 5-10 seconds until I end the program. Help please?
