Java Applet Window Truncating Text

843807May 17 2008 — edited May 17 2008
Hi--
My grandfather checks all of his stocks online through scottrade and ameritrade. He just got a new computer, and when he opens up the Java Applet Window to look at individual stock prices/history in scottrade, the first 3 to 5 (estimating) pixels are cut off (...a little more than half of the letter 'T'). At first i thought this was a problem with Java, so i deleted all temp files, that didnt fix it, uninstalled and reinstalled Java, that didnt fix it, i even changed browsers (IE7 to Firefox 2) and that didnt work! Then we went to the Ameritrade website and opened up a Java Applet Window from there, and it didnt truncate anything.
This problem is only happening on his new computer, as we still have the old computer hooked up and he called one of his friends that also uses scottrade, and it didnt truncate text on his computer..
the 3-5 px wouldnt normally be a problem, but it cuts off the first part of the stock prices, which according to my grandfather, makes things "unlivable". apparently its a very serious problem and needs to be fixed "Now"
