JAVA 8, Windows 10 and IE 11 Compatibility

user8754652Apr 3 2016 — edited Apr 3 2016

I am using a Cisco CP Express router configurator and the JAVA apps imbedded will not launch

I get the error messages:

Your Internet Explorer does not have Java enabled. To run Cisco CP, you must enable Java. For instructions, see your Internet Explorer documentation.

and

Security component has failed. Inorder to work on Router or Security features, do the following. Goto Java Control panel -> Advanced tab -> Java Plug-in tree Entry. Uncheck the check box for Enable next-generation Java Plug-in. Relaunch CiscoCP after this.

I took the steps above however do not see a JAVA PLUG IN TREE nor ENABLE next-generation plug-in option to uncheck.

My Questions:

Is there a known compatibility issue with JAVA 8, Windows 10 and IE 11?

Are there other suggestions to fix this problem?

Thanks for any help
