Java 8 Subscription Requirements?

I have confusions over this Java 8 subscription process.  We currently have an Oracle database with licenses for both Oracle and Weblogic which is used to generate a database access menu system using Java and a web browser from our 8 workstations.

  1. If I am understanding this correctly, the database Java is covered by the Weblogic license. So additional is associated.
  2. The workstations run the Java 8 JRE, and can access the DB menus using either a web browser, or a Java script that we've been experimenting with to replace the browser. If I understand correctly the JRE use in this case is free?  How do we continue getting updates?
  3. What exactly constitutes "Commercial" use, and does that apply to the JRE use on the workstations in question?
