japanese characters from excel

Hi All,

I am generating a csv file(comma seperated) through a query from Oracle 9i database. There is one field which is Japanese. Our database is UTF8 enabled and when the csv file is opened from notepad/textpad then it is showing the Japanese characters properly but when we are opening the file from excel(which is our requirement) then the same field is showing the Japanese characters as junk. Can anyone tell me the reason behind it and what is the possible solution.
